After yesterdays no show of wind today was looking better. On the water just
after 9.30 with 5.7 but overpowered so changed down to 5.0,But it seemed
like it was going to be 1 of those days! Just didnt feel comfy sailing &
not making many gybes out back in the confused chop & big holes but looking
round not many were.didnt even see Al on the water as so many out,got off
for a drink, moved the deckplate right back. The wind then filled in at a
steady 20knts+ & hey presto everything was working nice plent of gybes out
back, duckies on the in & also found Al so sailed with him for an hour which
was good, specially as my kit was working a little faster than his :)
then the wind switched off again,so Al de-rigged as he said he had to
go,but then someone switched the wind back on & Sw as well.So i grabbed my
kit & got back on whilst Al was de-suiting.the conditions were now nice as
the tide had dropped a bit, then to my surprise Al flew past on a Naish demo
board/rig with a big grin spraying me as he did,i had my revenge though
giving him a good soaking later ;) All in all was a good day as sailed
with Al,met Johno & Martin F from this site, also the Naish boys were
putting on a good show with high forwards, tabletop forwards,540 spinny
grubby flaka vulcan things.
